following software tools and applications are
recommended for use by faculty and their students in
support of all distance and hybrid courses.
Software Requirements:
Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher
Microsoft Office Suite XP or higher (Word 2003 or 2007)
Microsoft Windows Operating System 200 or higher
Antivirus Program - Up to date antivirus definitions
Note: Some courses may require additional software

MS Explorer 6.0 or higher (Preferred for Blackboard)
Firefox browser 1.5 or higher
Netscape 6.0 or higher
Note: AOL users may encounter problems

Internet connection (56K modem or DSL)

Computers are available on campus in the BCCC Library,
Building 5, LRC.
