How do I register for an online class?
We strongly recommend that new students considering a distance education course be aware of the differences in instruction and of the commitments they must make to complete their lessons before they enroll.
Complete a BCCC application (available on the BCCC website ). You may also obtain a form by visiting the Admissions Office on our campus.
An applicant must be a high school graduate or have a high school equivalency certificate. Exceptions may be made for certain programs. (See college catalog for more information).
Completed copies of all required admission forms must be submitted.
Each applicant for degree, diploma, and certificate programs must take a placement examination prior to registration. Contact Student Services to schedule a test date.
New students must successfully complete an online assessment.
Each applicant must meet with a counselor and/or academic advisor prior to enrollment. (during specified registration periods).
Applicants must register for classes during specified registration periods. Beaufort County Community College offers two semesters and one summer term of work during each school year. Students must register at the beginning of each semester in which they plan to attend. Registration dates for each semester are announced (refer to academic calendar)
Registration is permitted only on announced registration days except in programs which operate under open registration.
