Emergency Grants Available for Students Affected by Hurricane Florence

The North Carolina General Assembly and the State Board of Community Colleges have made available emergency grants to community college students who were negatively affected by Hurricane Florence. Beginning on November 1, 2018, Beaufort County Community College will begin accepting applications from students who were attending BCCC on September 10, 2018, who need assistance with tuition, fees, textbooks, transportation, and living expenses because of damage suffered from Hurricane Florence. Students must complete an application that itemizes the specific amounts of aid required and return it to the Office of Financial Aid in Building 9 on the BCCC campus. BCCC will award grants on a first come, first served basis; the State Board has provided a total of $31,261 for these emergency grants, which can be used for Fall Semester 2018, Spring Semester 2019, and Summer Semester 2019.

The fillable application can be found at this location.

Please contact the BCCC Office of Financial Aid (252-940-6222; finaid@beaufortccc.edu) with any questions.
