Financing Your Business

Who can give me good, solid, reliable advice? Are there loans/grants available to assist me? What should I be aware of? David Mayo is the presenter. This free seminar will take place at 6:00 p.m. on December 3.

A Hard Candy Christmas

Anita Price returns to the kitchen to share her skills in making old-fashioned holiday hard candy. She will lead you to make cinnamon, orange, and mint hard candy. You will bring back memories when you make these brightly colored and sweetly flavored treats. Hard candy making skills are used to make homemade lollipops and molded shapes. Carry home plenty of candy and the skills to make lots more for sweet gifts this year. This $40 class will take place on December 4 at 6:00 p.m.

Biscotti

Have you ever had biscotti with your morning cup at the Coffee Caboose? They are the best, and Chris Barkley is the baker. He will lead students to make a big batch of biscotti to take home along with the ability to make many variations of the basic recipe. In our class we will make cranberry almond biscotti, and we’ll have a pot of coffee brewing for you to enjoy. This $30 class will take place on December 6 at 6:00 p.m.

Recordkeeping and Taxes for Small Business

Do you know your product or service upside down and backwards, but the numbers just drive you up the wall? Do you really work hard, but always seem to run out of cash at the end of the month? This seminar will help you understand the financial aspects of your business. We’ll talk about tax issues. You’ll become familiar with those financial terms that confuse you, but are the road map to your success. Keith Kidwell is your presenter. You will learn: what makes your business thrive and grow, what is a CPA and when and how do you use them, how to understand financial statements, what your banker is looking for? What federal and state reports are required? If I made that much money, where is it? This free seminar will take place on December 10 at 6:00 p.m.
