Small Business Center Purpose
- The objective of the Small Business Center Network (SBCN) is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in North Carolina by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners which will lead to job creation and retention. Each Small Business Center (SBC) will be a community-based provider of education and training, counseling, referral and information.

One-on-one business counseling, which provides an evaluation to determine immediate needs.
- Custom designed programs to assist with preparation of paperwork
necessary to obtain financing for a qualified new business or expansion of an existing
business.
- Assistance for owners of existing
businesses seeking information and direction.

- The Small Business Center also maintains a Resource Center that
contains periodicals, handouts, books and videos that are available on loan. These
materials may be helpful in preparation for opening a small business and/or
assisting an existing business.

- Specialized Training:
Specialized training is offered to fit the needs of individual organizations.
- These customized classes have various
minimum enrollment and tuition requirements. They can be held at BCCC or
at the Business or Industry location. (textbook cost
extra-if applicable).
