Basic Sewing Project
Choose two yards of your favorite fabric and bring it to this class. In three sessions Elizabeth Gurganus will lead you to create an apron as you learn basic sewing techniques. You will be proud of your apron and ready to learn more about sewing. We have the sewing machines for you to learn with.

Making Fabric Bowls and Vases
Use colorful fabric scraps from our bin, or bring your own. You’ll take the fabric and use sewing machines to produce lovely bowls and vases. It’s a sewing project that gives you a fun craft skill to duplicate at home. Use our sewing machines or bring your own. And have bright springtime decorations for your table.

Digital Photography 2
We’ve added this class to build on the skills that Sandy Carawan shared in our first Digital Photography course. We will meet 3 Monday evenings and one Saturday morning to give participants lots of photo experience. In this class we will pay particular attention to still life photography and wildlife photography.

Spring Gardening Seminar

Unarmed Self Defense For Women
Basic unarmed self-defense for women helps increase feelings of security. The course will focus on self-awareness and understanding the tools for basic escapes from attackers. Know how to avoid dangerous situations, and learn how to protect yourself should the need arise. Comfortable clothing should be worn for practical exercises.

Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) Training
Class covers laws governing the use of deadly force, concealed carry statute, and other relevant issues. Class also covers the fundamentals of gun operation, personal protection with the use of a handgun, gun safety, ammunition, and shooting techniques. We are offering the classroom training at our Washington County Center on Tuesday, February 20. On Saturday, February 24 students will assemble on the BCCC campus to complete the class on our firing range. Please call 252-940-6375 for registration details. A copy of a record check from the Clerk of Court or handgun purchase
permit from the Sheriff’s Office must be provided to register. The fee includes a $75 registration fee and $1.25 accidental insurance fee.
