Residential Wiring

The Residential Wiring class, through the Department of Continuing Education, is a parallel class with the Curriculum Degree Program. Students must successfully complete the requirements of the class to gain successful credit. Students who successfully complete the class through Continuing Education are able to gain Credit for Prior Learning within the Curriculum Degree Program.

Name of Course: Residential Wiring

This course introduces the care/usage of tools and materials used in electrical installations and the requirements of the National Electrical Code. Topics include NEC, electrical safety, and electrical blueprint reading; planning, layout and installation of electrical distribution equipment; lighting; overcurrent protection; conductors; branch circuits; and conduits. Upon completion, students should be able to properly install conduits, wiring, and electrical distribution equipment associated with basic electrical installations. The textbook required for this course is Electrical Wiring Residential (ISBN 978-1285170954) and the National Electrical Code (ISBN 978-1455906727). The course fee includes a $180.00 registration fee and a $5.00 technology fee.

REFUND POLICY

Students must officially withdraw from class prior to the first class meeting to receive a full refund.

Students must officially withdraw from class prior to the official 10% point to receive a 75% refund.

Students who withdraw after the official 10% point will not receive a refund.

Registration fees for self-supporting classes are non-refundable once the class begins (contact Justin Rose with any refund questions).
