Membership Eligibility

Students invited into membership shall be
presently enrolled.

Must be committed to excellence in education,
to good character, and to service.

Must have a 3.3 GPA.
-
Must pay a one-time national membership fee of
$50.00 and play local dues for each semester of $6.00.
(Dues Paid)

Members are expected to be active, accumulating
10 service points per semester. (Earn points by
attending Meetings and Events)

Only one invitation will be extended to a
student.
Membership Benefits

A first-class membership certificate, two
decals, a copy of the national and local constitution, and upon request, a
membership card.

Publicity and recognition of achievement.

Completely transferable membership (without any
further national fee) to any other college or university where a chapter
exists or can be formed.

Camaraderie with other honor students and the
satisfaction of participation in meaningful service projects.

Opportunity to attend annual State and National
Conventions.

Membership is considered a plus by graduate and
professional schools and potential employers.

Membership items such as jewelry, T-shirts,
ect. offered at wholesale cost.

Diploma seals for each member graduating in
good standing.
Retention Standards
A member can be dropped from membership:
-
For failure to pay local dues.

For Failing to maintain a top 25 percent class
ranking. (One probationary semester allowed)

For Failing to attend meetings and accumulate
10 service points per semester.

For moral or disciplinary reasons.
