STEP 1.  
Complete a general application to the college indicating the allied health program of your choice. On record you will be a General Education (AGE) major and be assigned a GE advisor until accepted to the nursing program. 

STEP 2.  
S
chedule an appointment to take the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) with the Admissions Office:  252-940-6237 or determine if you qualify for a testing waiver. 

STEP 3.
Submit official transcripts (high school, GED, and college)

STEP 4.
Complete developmental courses if applicable.

STEP 5:
With the assistance of your advisor, begin taking the general education, non-core courses and chemistry if you have not met the high school chemistry requirement. (Not required for PN)

STEP 6:
Contact Mandy Jones, Allied Health Admissions Coordinator for an appointment to complete and review your allied health application beginning August 1.

Nursing applicants will be given a permit to take the Health Occupation Basic Entrance Test (HOBET) at this time. The HOBET will be given each month between September–February. 

STEP 7
Ranking of applicants based on completion of the program minimum requirements and academic performance.

STEP 8
Notification by mail of application status.  Those students in the highest ranked positions will continue in the admission process.  Students who are not among the top applicants will be placed on an Alternate List and contacted if space becomes available.
