SGA Officers for 2015-2016
Elizabeth Cobb, President
I am a resident of Bear Grass, and I have resided in Martin County for my entire life. I am a 23-year-old wife and mother of two small children. My field of study is in the Medical Office Administration program. With hopes of graduating in May of 2017, I plan to seek employment in one of the local medical offices. I look forward to working with students, faculty and staff here at BCCC to promote effective communication and networking.
Alfred Maurice Griffin, Vice President
I live in Belhaven. I am married and have two children. I am currently enrolled in the Office Administration Program here on campus. I am anxious to work with fellow SGA officers and to work closely with our SGA President and Advisor. I am also a mentor for Men of Success, which focuses on increasing collegiate minority male retention and graduation.
Katherine Blandford, Secretary
I am 17 years of age and am in the Early College Program here at Beaufort. I live at home with my parents, and my goal is to transfer after I graduate in May to a four-year university to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I am also involved with other clubs here on campus such as Gulls on the Run, which promotes fitness.
Yalissa Dominicak, Historian
I am a mother of two wonderful children, and I live in Washington. I currently work in the BCCC Library under the Work Study Program. I am in the process of completing prerequisites for the RN program and plan to apply later this semester. After graduation my plan is to become a NICU Nurse and obtain a job in the area.
Craig Ward, Special Populations Chairperson
I am the father of four children. I currently reside in Belhaven and am scheduled to graduate in May of 2017. I am also involved with TRiO, which provides help to students that qualify for their program. This is my second year in the Heavy Construction Equipment Program, but I am changing my program of study to General Occupational Technology. After graduation I plan to get a supervisory position in a maintenance shop and I am willing to relocate if a job becomes available.
Ashley Paszt, Treasurer
I am from Pinetown, I am 18 and I am not married. My hobbies include working, playing volleyball, exercising, being outside and spending time with my family. My goal in life is to help others, and by becoming a physical therapist I will be able to do that. I plan to attend Western Carolina University after I finish at BCCC to major in Health Science. After acquiring this degree, my plan is to attend the Physical Therapy Program and then advance into the Doctoral Program they offer for Physical Therapy. After completion of school, my goal is to return to Washington and work at the Physical Therapy Center.
