Student Support
Services is a federally funded TRIO program designed to assist
qualifying students with a wide range of academic and support
services. The program provides opportunities for academic
development, assists students with basic college requirements, and
serves to motivate students toward successful completion of their
education. The goal of Student Support Services is to increase the
college retention and graduation rates of its participants and help
students make the transition from one level of higher education to
the next. Low-income students, first generation college students,
and students with disabilities evidencing academic need are eligible
to participate in Student Support Services.
Through Student
Support Services, the student’s regular program of study can be
enriched by:

- Study skills
and personal development workshops and resources
- Cultural
enrichment activities
- College campus
visits
- Financial aid
and scholarship information
- Personal,
academic and career counseling and referrals
- Loaner program
for educational assistance tools
- Transfer
assistance
- Leadership
development
These services are
available at no cost to students who are accepted by the College and
meet the eligibility requirements established by the U. S.
Department of Education. Additional information and a program
