What type of careers interest you? What careers fit your interests, skills, and values? What are the working conditions, wages, and job outlook for these careers? The Career Center can help you investigate more about different types of careers:

  • Checkout the Career Exploration sites below to do some online research on careers.
  • Participate in Tours  to local business and industry for an opportunity to see your chosen career fields in action.
  • Attend the Career Fair to find out about your options at BCCC.
  • Research your options in Cooperative Education to acquire valuable work experience while receiving college credit.
  • Consider nontraditional career options. Girls Night Out is hosted in the spring where faculty and employers come together to provide information on local opportunities in nontraditional careers.
  • The Job Fair is held annually in April. The Job Fair brings business and industry leaders under one roof with job seekers.

There are many tools available on the web to assist you in exploring types of careers, occupations, and educational opportunities. If you already know your major, use the sites below to learn more about a particular occupation or where you can go to college to pursue more education in that field. Review BCCC’s Programs of Study to see if you can pursue your chosen field at Beaufort County Community College. Don’t forget to check out Financial Aid to see what types of assistance you can apply for to help you in your dream of pursuing your education.
