A Self-Assessment is a process where you can evaluate your personality, skills, and interests. A Self-Assessment can help you identify types of jobs or a career you may be interested in.

Stop by the Career Center for a free Self-Assessment or visit one of the sites below to take a Self-Assessment online. A Career Counselor can help you review your interests, discover careers you may be interested in, and identify options to pursue your desired career.

  • Career Coach Career Assessment provides a self-assessment that will help you determine careers that may be a good fit for your personality and interests. At the end of the assessment you can save your results and come back to view them later.
  •  The College Foundation of North Carolina offers a free Self-Assessment called The Career Key to help you identify occupations that match your interests. Register (if a new user) or Log-In and view the Career Key and other self-assessments under the CFNC Career Center.
  • College Answer is another site with various Self-Assessments – some are free of charge and others do have a fee. This site is approved by the National Association for College Admission Counseling
  • North Carolina Career Resource Network (SOICC) offers Self-Assessments, Career Exploration, and Job Search assistance.
  • O*Net Resource Center serves as the nation’s primary source of occupational information, and also has free self-assessments. Download their program online to take their self-assessment or stop by the Career Center to utilize this online assessment.
  • Monster.com allows users to search jobs, post resumes, or get tips on careers and more.
