Students Services at BCCC

Beaufort County Community College (BCCC) offers a range of supportive resources to enhance the student experience.

 These services include academic advising, career counseling, financial aid assistance, tutoring, and student organizations. Dedicated to fostering success, BCCC ensures students have access to guidance and tools tailored to their educational and career goals. Whether students need help navigating coursework, exploring career paths, or finding opportunities for personal growth, the Student Services team is there to assist at every step.

TRiO: Student Support Services

Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded TRIO program, which provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic College requirements, and serves to motivate students toward successful completion of their education. All of the services are free for program participants.

Student Support Services has offices in Building 9 and Building 1. The TRIO Success Center is located in Room 120 in Building 1.

TRiO: Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program designed to help students succeed in college. It offers free resources to support academic growth, assist with college requirements, and inspire students to reach their educational goals.

Who Qualifies?

To participate in TRIO/Student Support Services (SSS) a student must meet at least one of these eligibility requirements:

  • First Generation – neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Low Income – based on Pell Grant eligibility or last year’s income
  • Disabled – disability or disabling condition that is documented with BCCC’s Accessibility Services Office

How to Apply?

Interested students should come by the Student Support Services offices in Building 1 or Building 9 to get an application.

Completed applications should be returned to any SSS staff member.

Applications must be complete and returned with the following:

  •     Copy of the birth certificate for each child.
  •     Copy of the social security card for each child. Copy of student's BCCC's registration statement
  •     Copy of denial letter from Department of Social Services.
  •     An official letter from the childcare provider verifying the child’s enrollment or start date and the weekly rate for each child.
  •     Copy of the childcare provider’s license.
