TEAS and HESI Admission Testing

Students applying to the Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, or LPN to RN Transition programs must submit passing scores from either the TEAS or HESI exams to show academic readiness.

Applicants can choose either exam, but must meet the respective minimum score and submission requirements.

Option 1: ATI TEAS

  • Minimum score: 58.7% composite (overall)
  • Testing location: Proctored on campus, at BCCC Lester Library
  • Sessions limited to 15 students
  • Remote testing is offered through ATI at an additional cost; scores will be accepted for the Nursing exam only.
  • Students who test remotely or test elsewhere must send official ATI TEAS transcripts to the Allied Health Admissions Coordinator.

Option 2: HESI

  • Minimum score: 75% composite
  • Testing location: Not offered at BCCC
  • Transcript: Official HESI transcript must be submitted

Location: BCCC Campus in the Lester Library (Building 5)

Arrival: Arrive 10 min prior to testing start time to check-in

Bring: Photo ID and ATI username and password. Leave all personal items at home.

Remediation Services

Scores less than the required minimum composite (overall) score of 58.7 should seek remediation. Services are offered through ATI and/or Ed-2-Go though BCCC.
