The Beaufort County Community College Foundation will host its inaugural Taste of the Town Scholarship Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Washington Civic Center. The event will raise funds to support student scholarships, helping remove financial barriers to higher education. Tickets are available through September 30.

Taste of the Town will showcase the culinary diversity of eastern North Carolina, bringing together top local restaurants, talented chefs, and community members for an evening of food, fellowship, and philanthropy. Attendees can enjoy tasting portions of signature dishes from participating restaurants, with each bite contributing to student success at Beaufort CCC.

“We are grateful for the generosity of our local chefs and restaurants, who are donating their time, talent, and creativity to help our students succeed,” said Serena Sullivan, vice president of institutional advancement. “This event celebrates both the vibrant food culture of our region and the power of community support for higher education.”

Participating restaurants and chefs include: The Hackney, The Hackney Distillery, The Bank Bistro, The Stubborn Mule Oyster Bar & Grill, Big Belly, Marabella, Tavern at Jack’s Neck, Black Dirt, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, The Mad Batter, Down on Mainstreet, Big Blue 252 Coffee Bar +Plus, Keyes Creations LLC, River Forest Manor, Carryout by Chrislyn’s, The Grill at Beaufort County Community College, and more.
