Beaufort County Community College (Beaufort CCC) proudly honored 18 students at its second Barber Academy graduation, marking another milestone for the growing program. The ceremony celebrated the dedication, skill, and perseverance of the graduates as they completed more than 1,500 hours of rigorous training and are now eligible to stand for licensure.

Graduates included David Albritton, Mario Anguiano-Franquez, Maurice Bennett, Bailey Davis, Michael Godley, Kyle Hardee, Josiah Jefferson, Alexander Jones, Donald Little, Korlon Moore, Arthur Real, Irving Satterthwaite, Tracey Simmons, Angel Sosa, Raquan Vann, Genaro Juanico Vasquez, Garrett White, and James Whitney. Each graduate has earned the skills needed to enter the barbering industry with confidence.

Day instructor Rodney Bullock and evening instructor Russell Shaw spoke at the ceremony, applauding the students’ hard work and resilience.

“No one will ever be able to deter you from all the benefits that this certification gives,” said Bullock. “Thank you so much for your sacrifice. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.”

Shaw emphasized the qualities that drive success in the industry. “You did what it took to make it. I call it the five Ds to success: determination, dedication, discipline, desire, and drive. This program is going to grow and continue, and you’re the foundation of this.”
