BCCC Welcomes Follett as New Bookstore Vendor

The BCCC Bookstore is under new management with Follett, a national retailer specializing in college bookstores. Follett will stock all required textbooks in the store, but students also have the option to order books online through its website. The bookstore will also carry merchandise like hoodies, shirts, cups, earbuds, ink cartridges, thumb drives and other school supplies for BCCC students to show off their pride.

Located in Building 5 next to the library and the Campus Grill, the bookstore is now open. It will generally be open between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. but will extend its hours leading up to the beginning of classes. Students receiving financial aid will be able to use their funds toward books starting August 9.

Follett has been a trusted partner to college campuses for more than 140 years, taking care of the critical details that make it easier for schools to run, teachers to teach and students to learn. The company is higher education's largest campus retailer and a hub for school spirit and community as it operates nearly 1,200 local campus stores and over 1,600 virtual stores across the continent.

As such a large retailer, Follett has a unique perspective to know what teachers are teaching and how students are learning; to know what professors are adopting; to know what college students are buying, and to know how they are acquiring content and interacting with new technologies and retail environments available to them.

In October, Follett anticipates renovating the bookstore to better serve students.
