New Wedding Planning Class Offered

Washington has made hosting weddings one of its top priorities for tourism. With historic churches such as St. Thomas Episcopal, rustic barns at Fox Hollow Farms or Southern Pamlico Event Hall, Festival Park, the Washington Civic Center and inns such as Elmwood, historic city along the Pamlico River has many resources for those looking to get married. In that spirit, the Division of Continuing Education at Beaufort County Community College is offering Wedding Planning as a class.

Create a ceremony that will leave you and your loved ones with life-long memories. Beth Glisson, an experienced wedding planner and proprietor of Cotton Sails Design and Events, will guide students through the wedding planning process from setting the date to tossing the bouquet. Learn how to turn your wedding vision into an organized and well-executed ceremony and reception. Good planning reduces stress and allows everyone to enjoy their special day. Each session includes time for you to ask questions and refine your own wedding plan. This class will run from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Mondays starting September 16. It costs $75, and you can register and pay online, or call 252-940-6375.
