Pig Pickin’ University
Yep, in this class we are going to roast a pig - nose to tail and everything in between. To learn this traditional skill from the members of the Pinetown
Volunteer Fire Department is a rare opportunity. If you’ve ever been to their BarBQue fundraiser you know how delicious charcoal cooked pig can
be. Many thanks to the Pinetown VFD for helping us stage this class. On Thursday, February 28 we will meet in Building 8 on BCCC’s campus. The class leaders will explain the process they use to cook. Early on Saturday morning, March 2 we will meet at the firehouse. Students will help cook the pig and all the fixins’. At 5:00 PM we will hold a pig pickin’, and each student may invite one guest to join in. Instructive, memorable, delicious, and fun!
