What Is the Digital Navigator Program?

The Beaufort Digital Bridge is a free initiative by BCCC aimed at assisting individuals in Beaufort, Hyde, Tyrrell, and Washington counties to develop essential digital skills. Through personalized support, the program helps participants:

  • Navigate the internet safely
  • Utilize email and online applications
  • Access virtual healthcare and job platforms
  • Manage digital devices effectively

This program is part of a broader effort to bridge the digital divide in our community. Watch the short video below for an introduction to our program.

AVAILABLE SERVICES

Digital Navigator Support:
Get personalized one-on-one help to improve your technology skills, whether you’re new to digital devices or need assistance with specific tasks

Digital Literacy Instruction:
Join our classes to learn essential skills like using the internet, managing email, navigating online applications, protecting against identify theft, and troubleshooting technical issues and more, all at your own pace.

Digital Literacy Services are available on the BCCC Campus in Building #8, Room 827, Tues & Thurs from 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm. It is a lab format that is open entry, so no preregistration is required.

Kramden Institute Collaboration:
Through a partnership with the Kramden Institute, we offer free, recycled laptop devices to residents across Eastern North CarolinaBut we need your help!  We’re seeking corporate and public sector partners willing to donate their retired computer equipment to the Kramden Institute. Kramden provides free equipment pickup, data sanitation and destruction, R2-certified downstream recycling, response within one business day, and a donation receipt for your records. Equipment that can be refurbished is redistributed through Kramden’s digital equity programs, directly supporting individuals and families who need access to devices for work, school, and everyday life.  You can learn more at Kramden Business donations.  Kramden is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
