Fleet Maintenance Technician (Diesel)

Credential: Get Ahead Diesel Certificates: Freightliner, Detroit, and Western Star
Train to become a certified diesel technician and earn credentials recognized by major truck manufacturers through the Get Ahead Diesel Program. Freightliner and Detroit certified service shop employers will be able to see your credentials anywhere. The Freightliner Get Ahead Diesel program is a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) initiative that partners with diesel schools and dealerships to provide students with specialized, hands-on training and certifications on Freightliner, Western Star, and Detroit Diesel products. The program offers access to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training, which prepares students for real-world technician roles and helps dealerships maintain a pipeline of skilled technicians for warranty repairs. This course includes a 40-hour, in-person basic diesel engine rebuild project which runs for a full week – Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. During this time there will be a mixture of classroom instruction and hands-on Diesel engine tear down and assembly. You will remove all internal components, inspect, assemble, and crank the engine by Friday of the week. Register & pay online.
