Many employers, and therefore many of our classes, require an NCRC to make sure you have important jobs skills to carry out your duties.
These classes require an NCRC:
Credential: National Career Readiness Certificate, ACT
This class helps people get ready to earn their National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). You can join the class at any time. It is open to everyone.
The NCRC is a certificate that shows you have important job skills. It tests you in three areas: reading work documents, using math on the job, and understanding charts and graphs.
Many companies look for workers who have this certificate.
Some people may not have to pay the class fee if they qualify. The test costs $42, which you will pay when you take it.
We strongly suggest taking the NCRC Prep Class before you take the test.

National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) Testing
Testing is open to anyone who wants to earn their NCRC. We strongly suggest taking the NCRC Prep Class before the test.
NCRC Testing is offered August 15-December 31 on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. Arrive by 4:45 p.m.
A scholarship for NCRC testing is available through the Division of Continuing Education, sponsored by the Beaufort County Committee of 100.

| Platinum: scores at least a level 6 in each of the three core areas and has the necessary foundational skills for 99 percent of the jobs in the WorkKeys database. |
