Golfers are invited to hit the green and support student success at the Beaufort County Community College Foundation’s 32nd Annual Golf Invitational for Scholarships. The tournament will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at Cypress Landing Golf Club. Registration from 08:00 to 09:00, shotgun start at 9:00.
This annual event is one of the foundation’s largest fundraisers and plays a direct role in helping students afford college. Proceeds support scholarships that assist eligible students with tuition, textbooks, and emergency financial needs.
The tournament will be played in a four-person super ball format, with teams pre-flighted based on handicap. The $85 entry fee per player includes lunch, cart rental, and greens fees. Prizes will be awarded by 18-hole score in Championship, First Flight, Women’s, and High School divisions, along with four “closest to the pin” prize packages.
“Over the last few years, we’ve seen donations increase as more people recognize the impact these scholarships have on our students,” said Serena Sullivan, vice president of Institutional Advancement. “The community is seeing how this support translates into real outcomes for local families and the workforce.”
For many students, the barrier to staying enrolled is not motivation, it is cost. A scholarship can mean the difference between stopping out and staying on track. These awards help students focus on their coursework instead of juggling multiple jobs, move from one semester to the next without interruption, and complete their programs more quickly and successfully. Our scholarship recipients are driven, focused, and committed to reaching their goals, and we work to keep that momentum going.
