The Beaufort County Community College Foundation will host its second annual Taste of the Town Scholarship Fundraiser on Oct. 14, 2026, at the Washington Civic Center. The event brings together local restaurants, sponsors, and community members to raise funds that directly support student scholarships.
Taste of the Town gives attendees the opportunity to sample signature dishes from some of the region’s most recognized restaurants while supporting access to higher education. Proceeds from the event help remove financial barriers for students by funding scholarships that assist with tuition and educational expenses.
“The response from our community continues to be incredible,” said Serena Sullivan, vice president of Institutional Advancement. “We are grateful to our sponsors and restaurant partners for investing in our students. Their support helps open doors for individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college.”
The evening will feature tasting stations, live music, and time for community connection, creating a growing annual tradition that celebrates both local culinary talent and educational opportunity. We have increased our seating capacity and added additional cocktail tables to accommodate more guests comfortably. Taste of the Town will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Advance reservations are encouraged and may be made online via PayPal or by contacting the Institutional Advancement Office at 252-940-6326.
