The Beaufort County Community College Foundation hosted its first Taste of the Town Scholarship Fundraiser on October 15 at the Washington Civic Center, bringing together local restaurants, sponsors, and community members to raise funds for student scholarships.
The event drew 275 attendees eager to sample signature dishes from some of the region’s most celebrated restaurants. Proceeds from Taste of the Town will directly support students through scholarships that remove financial barriers to higher education.
“The response from our community was incredible,” said Serena Sullivan, vice president of institutional advancement. “We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and restaurant partners for making this first Taste of the Town such a success. Their generosity helps open doors for students who might not otherwise be able to attend college.”
The Foundation expressed its appreciation to the event’s sponsors:
- ECU Health Beaufort Hospital
- Edward Jones — Rod Cantrell
- Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- Southern Bank
- Gregory Poole CAT
- Huntington Bank
- P&G Manufacturing
- A host of individual sponsors
