Welcome to Beau-Fitt

Beaufort County Community College aims to improve the health and fitness of citizens in its service area. The Beau-FITT program started off each season with a Kick-Off Event in September. The exercise sessions included giveaways and info about the Garmin Fit band promotion. 15 other monthly sessions were held at the college in Building 10, Multi Purpose room following the kick off event.

Did you know that Beau-Fitt has grown to over 213 people?

In 2017 the City of Washington joined in by creating their own exercise fitness "Less talk, more walk" group on Garmin. 40 City employees were given fit bands. Of those, 22 members actively participate each week in a walking challenge. The group walked over 200,000 steps in a week, reducing their blood pressure, losing weight and gaining energy. Keep up the great work City of Washington!
