To support the expansion of our new KP Law Enforcement Training Program, Beaufort County Community College will open a K9 agility training facility in Summer 2025. This state-of-the-art facility will feature challenging obstacles such as a horizontal hanging ladder, chain-link dog bridge, jungle gym, and seesaw—designed to build agility, endurance, and real-world readiness for K9 teams.
In Fall 2025, the college will expand the facility to include a K9 rubble pile training area. This specialized environment will simulate disaster response scenarios, helping teams develop critical skills in search and rescue, cadaver detection, and emergency response.
BCCC is grateful to NC Representative Keith D. Kidwell, H&R Block, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, IBX Ink and Thread, and Wayne’s Tree Service & Stump Grinding for providing the funding that made this program possible. Special thanks to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office for bringing the concept forward and to Orchard Knoll K9 for your continued partnership.
