At Beaufort County Community College (BCCC), students have the right to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth. Students are entitled to access quality education, fair and respectful treatment, due process in disciplinary matters, and opportunities to engage in student life, leadership, and campus activities. They also have the right to seek guidance from faculty and staff, access support services, and voice their concerns regarding policies and procedures.
With these rights come responsibilities. Students are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and professionalism in all academic and social interactions. This includes adhering to college policies, upholding academic honesty, respecting the diversity and rights of others, and actively contributing to a positive campus community. Additionally, students are responsible for meeting academic standards, attending classes, and fulfilling financial obligations to the college.
BCCC is committed to maintaining a campus culture where students can thrive while understanding their role in upholding the values of respect, responsibility, and engagement in their educational journey.
