The Beaufort County Community College Foundation will host its second annual Taste of the Town Scholarship Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Washington Civic Center, 110 Gladden St. The event raises funds to support student scholarships, helping remove financial barriers to higher education. Approximately 85% of Beaufort CCC students rely on financial assistance to attend college.
Taste of the Town showcases the culinary diversity of eastern North Carolina, bringing together local restaurants, chefs, and community members for an evening of food, community, and good company. Attendees can sample signature dishes from participating restaurants and meet the chefs behind them, with each bite contributing to student success at Beaufort CCC.
A Growing Tradition
Last year’s inaugural event drew 275 attendees and raised significant support for student scholarships. “The response from our community was incredible last year, and it set the bar high,” said Serena Sullivan, vice president of institutional advancement. “We are excited to welcome back so many of our restaurant partners and sponsors, and we can’t wait to see this tradition grow and open even more doors for our students.”
Participating Restaurants
The growing list of participating restaurants and chefs includes The Mad Batter, The Hackney, Marabella, Bridge Street Wing and Burger, The Grill at BCCC, The Mulberry House, Funaya, The Stubborn Mule Oyster Bar & Grill, Down on Mainstreet, Biggs French-Italian Eatery, and Chrislyn’s, with more to join.
Tickets and Details
Tickets are $30 per person. Food tickets for tasting portions are sold at the event for $1 each or 25 for $20. Beverages are available for purchase. Restaurants set the number of food tickets required per dish.
