Washington County Early College High School Celebrates Class of 2026

Washington County Early College High School honored its Class of 2026 during a May 22 graduation ceremony in Plymouth, N.C. The milestone marked another successful year for the dual enrollment school, where students earn college credits alongside their high school diplomas.

16 Graduates, 11 College Credentials

The ceremony recognized 16 graduates. Of those, 11 also earned associate degrees or certificates through Beaufort County Community College (BCCC), highlighting the strength of the school’s dual enrollment program.

Students who completed BCCC degrees joined other early college and BCCC graduates at a larger commencement ceremony on May 7.

Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Special Recognitions

Kizzi Armstrong delivered the valedictory address, while Josue Santos-Juarez spoke as salutatorian. Dr. David White, superintendent of Washington County Schools, offered remarks to the graduates.

Brandon Lewis, BCCC’s high school liaison to Washington County Early College High School, presented special recognitions to students who earned associate degrees:

Kizzi Armstrong, Taylor Brown, Nazir Frett, Keyonte Jackson-Collins, Daziah Rouson, Jaden Spruill, Ernest Stevens, and Angel Tapia-Martinez each earned an Associate in Arts. Josue Santos-Juarez earned both an Associate in Arts and an Associate in Science. Comyra Weeks earned a Certificate in Social and Human Services, and Ayden Combs earned an Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology.

Josue Santos-Juarez and Angel Tapia-Martinez will continue at BCCC to pursue additional degrees or certificates.

BCCC partners with Washington County Early College High School, Columbia Early College High School, Hyde Academy, and Beaufort County Early College High School.
