Employee Engagement Initiatives
The Wellness & Institutional Culture Committee (WICC) is extremely excited to bring three Employee Engagement Initiatives to you - Workout Wednesdays, Tuesdays Together, and Monday Matters. These initiatives run throughout the year. Our goal is to get employees across all departments, all positions, all types interacting with each other in a positive manner. The success of these Employee Engagement Initiatives lies within all of our hands so we encourage all employees to get involved.
Monday Matters – Every other Monday
BCCC Golden Apple Award to be presented biweekly on Mondays and is meant to show employees how much they matter and how they positively impact others. This is a peer-to-peer recognition award to be circulated around campus amongst all employees. The recipient will receive the Golden Apple with a Certificate. Then each award recipient will subsequently present it to someone who they feel deserves it. Prior list of honorees may be found here.
Tuesdays Together – 2nd & 4th Tuesdays during lunch break
Weather permitting, we will have yard games set up outside by the picnic tables between Buildings 1, 5, & 9 from 11am-2pm on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays. Grab your lunch, grab a coworker (figuratively speaking😊) and come out to play some cornhole and other outdoor games. Nothing like a little friendly competition!
Volunteers are needed to help set up and take down the games so if you have some time, we’d love to have you help.
Workout Wednesdays – 1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ 4:30pm
Come out on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays to get your exercise on. These sessions are for BCCC employees and will be self-lead by your peers. Employees can sign up to “host” a Wednesday in which they’d select the exercise type, video, etc. and lead the event. You may sign-up here to host a Wednesday.
