Residential Wiring
This course introduces the care/usage of tools and materials used in electrical installations and the requirements of the National Electrical Code. Topics include NEC, electrical safety, and electrical blueprint reading; planning, layout and installation of electrical distribution equipment; lighting; over-current protection; conductors; branch circuits; and conduits. Upon completion, students should be able to properly install conduits, wiring, and electrical distribution equipment associated with basic electrical installations. The textbook required for this course is Electrical Wiring Residential (ISBN 978-1285170954) and the National Electrical Code (ISBN 978-1455906727).
